Who is Carla ?

I am a shamanic practitioner in Glendale, Arizona. I have been working with my spirits since the late 80's to help people and animals become well and whole. A member of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and The Society for Shamanic Pracitioners, I follow the path of core shamanism, using healing techniques that are common to many cultures and compatible with our modern world. I have trained with the Foundation in soul retrieval, power animal retrieval, death and dying, divination and healing, and completed the Foundation's three year training program in 2000. I work with people and with animals. Cats, dogs, horses, goats and chickens have been recipients of my spirit allies' gracious healing power.

I have shifted from being a marketing executive to shamanic practitioner through a series of events that knocked the wind out of my sails, then refilled them with a powerful new breath. I love being close to horses, dogs, cats, chickens and other beings, and I am also very fond of hunting wild mushrooms. My professional life is now entirely devoted to animal communication and shamanic work.

I now reside in my old home town, Phoenix, but have strong connections to the shamanic community in the Pacific Northwest as I lived there for 12 years.
