Buzzard,
a kittie with early kidney failure
Hello Carla,
I received your beautiful card at Christmas, and realized I haven't
updated you lately on Buzzard. You did a healing on him . . . .
must have been a over a year ago? He had beginning stage kidney
failure, and was showing physical symptoms, as well as lab result
confirmation. You told me after the healing that you felt confident
he was completely healed, and you were right :-) Here we are, over
a year later, and he is so healthy. His urinalysis and blood work
still show no signs at all of kidney problems, and he is strong
and (too) fat again. He did develop chronic diarrhea after he was
cured of his kidney problems, which I suspect to be IBD. Recently,
however, I have been adding a raw diet meal once or twice a week,
and that is cleared up now, as well.
So, I just wanted you to know that you have a real success story
with my
Buzzard. We are both so grateful for the wonderful work you do!

Emily and Bagheera
Hi Carla: I should also
tell you about Bagheera. At the same time you did the healing for
Buzzard, you also did a communication with my cat Emily . Emily
had died the previous year from chronic renal failure, so you spoke
to her spirit. Emily was my love, my soulmate, and I missed her
terribly. Emily appeared to you as a winged cat, then as a hawk,
and she told you that she would send a cat for me. The cat would
be "smokey gray with dark stripes".
Several weeks later, another reader told me that Emily would send
me a
"smokey gray cat with dark stripes". Several months later,
Bagheera came to live with me. Bagheera is an oriental black smoke
cat. Each hair shaft is 1/2 white (next to the skin) and 1/2 black
(top part of the hair). So, she appears at first to be an all black
cat, but in certain light she is smokey gray with dark stripes.
I didn't realize the significance until she had been with me for
several days, then I realized that she is the cat Emily sent to
me, as you and the other reader both told me. And she is the
perfect cat for me, she reminds me so much of Emily. I had been
worried that I would adopt a gray tabby cat because I would be looking
for the one you had told me about. So what a wonderful way for Bagheera
to come to me. I adopted her because I liked HER, not her color.
Then to realize that she is actually the color I was expecting after
all!

Pete
- A cat with serious "unknown" illness
I don't know if all of
you remember, but a couple of months ago I had asked Carla to do
a healing on our cat, Pete, for an "unknown" illness.
He had been pretty sick in Jan. of this year. Diarrhea, not eating,
fevered,
significant weight loss. His blood work then showed a glucose (sugar)
imbalance, along with a few other abnormalities. He was put on antibiotics
and some kind of "diabetes pill" (for lack of a better
term/explanation). It was thought that he might be in the beginning
stages of feline diabetes.
The prescribed treatment worked, for a while. A couple of months
back, Pete started showing signs of illness again. There was diarrhea
and his coat look totally AWFUL - very dry, matted and *massive*
shedding. He appeared to be losing weight again. I made another
appt. w/ the vet, then I called on Carla. As it happens, the vet
appt. and Carla's healing journey were on the same day! Carla's
healing journey came first though and it was AMAZING the things
she and the spirits saw and found about our Petey!
At the vet's (that same day) he was tested for parasites/worms.
Negative.
Seems he was "ingesting" quite a bit of fur. It was in
his vomit & feces (Pete doesn't ride in a vehicle, in a carrier,
well *at all*). He also had actually *gained* weight since the last
visit, about 3 mos. prior.
Vet prescribed a vitamin/mineral supplement to help w/ the shedding
& overall coat appearance. Now, in my own experience w/ taking
vitamins, I know that they don't start working right away. About
2 days after the healing & vet visit, I was scheduled to leave
for a 10-day vacation. I was very hesitant about leaving Pete, although
I knew my husband could handle anything that could/would happen.
I'm a worrywart"mom," what can I say.
To my surprise, amazement & pure joy when I returned home, Pete
looked MARVELOUS!! Such a BEAUTIFUL, SHINY COAT!! I really don't
recall him *ever* looking that good! He was back to his "old"
self!! No diarrhea, everything was "normal" again.
Well, he was due for his annual exam and follow-up visit w/ the
vet the other evening. Vet drew more blood, gave him his vaccines.
His blood results came back NORMAL!!! YIPPEEEEE!!!!
:::happy feet - happy dance:::
Pete & I thank you, again, Carla & the loving, caring, amazing
healing
spirits!!!
Happy tails to all :-)

Smokey
and Shadie: A Spirit Teacher Appears
CM has difficulties with
her cats Smokey and Shadie. (problems not specified in emails -
there were 2 cats, but info only talks about one) Carla's journey
took her to an East Indian spirit teacher who was waiting to make
contact with CM through her cat, Smokey. "Smokey came to you
as a messenger from a spirit teacher who wants to work with you."
With Carla's help, this connection was made and healing work was
done for both of the cats.
CM responds:
"Just wanted to
thank you again for the animal reading you did on Smokey and Shadie
a couple of weeks ago. When I received your taped session, I was
amazed of the things they communicated to you. It was very interesting.
I listen to it at least twice a week. What's even more amazing were
the changes in Shadie's behavor. As you know, I felt so disconnected
from her. She wouldn't allow me to pick her up without squirming
to get down, I couldn't get her to come to me, she was distant,
etc. After her healing, I not only saw the change in her but felt
the change in her. She follows me everywhere, she allows me to pick
her up without squirming to get down and I really feel she's trying
to connect to me (now). It's a good feeling!"

Old
Sam Puts His Foot in the Water Dish
H. writes of her concern
for her old cat, Sam, a large, white/tiger male who is 19 years
old. "I would like to know how he is feeling
"
H. is puzzled by some of Sam's new behaviors: Whenever he has a
drink of water, he puts his foot in the bowl while he drinks. Also,
he has begun to stare at H. and follow her around more than usual
and Sam will not eat unless H. is in the room.
Here is an excerpt from
Carla's journey to speak with Sam:
"Sam is a very sweet
cat who is terribly concerned about you. He sees his role as a helper
to you. When he stares at you and clings to you he says he is trying
to help you. It is much more about his trying to help you than his
needing help from you - or so he thinks! When I asked why he needed
you to be near him when he eats it became clear that he leans on
you emotionally pretty strongly too.
He told me there is a
tear in the fabric of your household from when (another pet)
died and that tear hasn't been healed. He is sad and he believes
you are too. He feels you two need each other more now. My spirit
filled him with lots of healing power to help him feel whole again.
I asked why he puts his foot in the water and the answer is because
his eyesight isn't as good as it was and he uses his foot to "see"
where the water level is. He showed me what his vision is like,
and it appears that there is a shadow in the right eye that keeps
him from getting clear perspective. The spirit recommended mackerel
and flax seed oil for him to give him some nutrients that will help
his eyes.
"
H. responds:
"It's interesting
what you learned about Sam's eyesight! I thought the foot in the
water had something to do with his eyes, too, because the veterinarian
said he has cataracts and during his checkup last week, she was
suspicious that his right eye was worse than the left."

Pas
Gets the Full Shamanic Healing Treatment
H. requests "
a
soul retrieval for our cat, Pasikola, who was traumatized as a small
kitten, and has always been fearful of being grabbed and of strangers.
He was born to a mother who belonged to a homeless man."
When the kittens were born, they were put "
in a paper
sack, abandoned in a
park, and rescued by the Humane Society. The found the sack and
Pas'
brother right away, but it took them a week to catch Pas. He is
six years old. About a year or two ago, he started stalking &
chasing one of our other cats. Both the fighting and the spraying
have intensified GREATLY over time."
Carla's healing work
with Pasikola is very interesting and powerful and is a good example
of different shamanic healing techniques:
"We worked with
Pas in the upperworld and he agreed to healing
..
Pas showed me his angry
side and he started to spray me. It is indeed a
fear based thing, and a frustration thing. It is about the other
cats, and
his insecurity about being loved. Then the spirit interviewed Pas
about what he loves the most in the world, and he said the loving
he gets from you guys. She worked with him on this and wanted to
get him to integrate that feeling into his life.
Then he got a dismemberment
experience, half of him merged with a powerful
cat and the other part was eaten by raven, then the spirits reformed/sculpted
the eaten side from clay, and the two halves were reintegrated into
one.
Pas was given a sacred
song, and he was told two stories that are important
for his perspective. One was about a raven who tried to catch a
butterfly.
The raven was just being spiteful because the beauty of the butterfly
annoyed him; he couldn't accept it. The butterfly out-tricked him
and lit on
the base of his tail. Thus the raven began to incorporate beauty
rather than
destroy it. The raven became very happy."
During the Soul Retrieval
part of the healing, Carla and her spirits "
brought
back a very young kitten and two older kittens, all very frightened.
Before returning them they went to the upper world and were healed
themselves, and turned from frightened little cats to happy playful
and restful cats. Then I blew them into Pas
"Carla also
sought out advice from a respected animal dietician on how to make
calming changes in Pas' diet.
After the healing work,
H. writes back:
"Carla! Just a quick note to tell you how well Pas is doing!
He's much more
relaxed, and doesn't seem to be spraying!

Bonkers
Meets the Salmon Spirit and Regains Her Appetite
M. requests healing for
Bonkers, an 8 year old female kitty, suddenly taken ill with kidney
problems. Bonkers has suffered and struggled through a long bout
of serious illness with heavy drugs and procedures. Now she seems
to be recuperating, but will not eat anything.
M. asks what she can
do to help her friend be comfortable and regain her appetite. M.
is also concerned about what toll the illness has taken on Bonkers,
emotionally and physically.
Carla's journey was long
and complex. Here are some excerpts:
"
.The
council of cats, who provides healing power and diagnostic help,
gave me a healing powder to put in her, and gave me the instructions
to do an extraction and a soul retrieval. So we did the extraction,
removing an entity that didn't belong in her. We used the powder
to restore her balance and power, and to help her heal.
Then I did the soul retrieval She really suffered when she was sick
and was sure she had died. But she didn't die! Her soul left and
split - a part went to the upper world to her mother and bunch of
kittens- and another went to herself as a baby.
.. I also found a soul part that was broken off during the
peak of the illness, when she thought she had died. That part was
crouched in a room, hiding from everyone, with her stomach in pain.
So we healed her and brought her back.
Then I retrieved a power
animal for her to help restore her appetite. It was
a spawning salmon. She now would like to have some salmon to eat
please!
She didn't want to eat
because her nervous system got way out of whack and
her appetite was disengaged. Also, she had an intrusion in her
belly that I removed. She said she just didn't feel hungry - but
now she
would like to eat some salmon please!
She likes your bed. and
she showed me playing in the kitchen with some rolling thing on
the floor (A toy or something). She is very beautiful, and I am
pleased to be her newest friend!
M. responds:
"I gotta tell you,
on Friday night she really started eating. I mean she TORE the food
up in her dish. She's eaten more this
weekend than I can beleive. It's funny - I was in Walgreens on friday
night getting some tuna and for some reason I picked up salmon -
something I've never done before. She meowed for it when I got home.
I just opened the can and put it on the floor
and she licked
it off the top
Another really funny thing is that she never liked canned food before,
but I decided to pick some up (one of each flavor) and she is DEVOURING
them!!!! She ate a whole can at one sitting yesterday and then went
and sat on my bed.
.. About the rolling something in
the kitchen - well that would be a carrot!! I
don't know why. She just does. She rolls around on top of it and
around
it like it's catnip.
Thank you so much for
your help. I didn't even know
that you had done this on friday and I remarked to john that I couldn't
beleive how much she was eatin.
I listened to the tape and I couldn't beleive it. It's amazing how
much you knew! At one point you said she started to act superior
after you told her she was
special. You, know what - as of Friday, she started walking around
like
she owned the place, DEMANDING to be let in rooms, that type of
thing.
I can't thank you enough!"

Cinnamon
and Magic Move Happily On To Another World
P. agonizes over her
lost friends: her two beloved, elderly cats, Magic and Cinnamon.
She writes: "
(Recently), I had my cat Magic put
to sleep. He was 19 years old and had been an insulin dependent
diabetic for the last 4 1/2 years. I don't think I've ever loved
an animal as much as I did Magic which is why I did not want him
to suffer, but not only do I miss him terribly, I keep agonizing
over my decision.
P. tells about the day
she lost her other friend, Cinnamon: "..I could have sworn
that Magic was with her that evening in the garden, but then again
that could have been my overactive imagination. At the emergency
clinic, I had told her (Cinnamon) to go find him when she crossed
over. Her crossing was so easy, so quick, I've always wondered whether
she couldn't wait to leave. Are they together? How are they doing?
Are they happy?"
Excerpts from Carla remarkable
journey to find Magic and Cinnamon:
"Magic and Cinnamon
live a wonderful place in the upper world with a giant
elm tree. They play and play and play. They were chasing each other
and
tumbling like kittens when I met them there. They are very happy.
We discussed the issues
about Cinnamon's passing. She was not in her body
for much of the time between Magic's death and her death. Magic's
spirit
never left, and she would check out of her body and go be with him
She knew you were doing everything out of love, and she wanted to
stay with you as long as she could. But there came a point where
she just couldn't hold on. "Everyone has to die sometime"
she said. Finally when she did die they were escorted to the place
they live in by a wonderful angel spirit, a cat with white wings.
..Magic said he
wanted to reincarnate and Cinnamon said she did to, as long as it
was with Magic. My helping spirit laughed and told them they can
do
whatever they like. We left it at that.
Cinnamon is in no way
upset with you, nor is Magic. Their love for you is
very deep. Magic expressed that you are healer, that your hands
and touch
heal, and that the animals in your life (and people) are honored
and blessed
to be with you.
When I asked Cinnamon
if she had anything else to share with you she said
that she never really left you, that she knows your thoughts and
feelings
and in always connected with you."
A grateful P. writes:
"Thank you very
much for journeying for me
.when I read your message,
the tears just started to flow. I am still sorting out the information
in my heart, but let's just say a weight has been lifted off me.
I had felt so certain that they were together, had wanted to be
together, and I needed to be sure that this was the case.. Again,
thank you. You are a blessing. Your involvement has brought me a
degree of peace I would otherwise not have been able to experience.
I am very grateful to have had this opportunity. Carla, thank you
for your help, and continued inspiration

Java
and Loki Make Friends
S. loves her 2 year old
cat Java and decides to get her a younger playmate. She says
."
I brought home the now 5 month old gray male kitten, named Loki.
Java seems to enjoy Loki, but she has become distant towards myself,
and especially towards my boyfriend. I question if I did the right
thing by bringing Loki into our home
?"
Carla's journey facilitates
a healing ceremony between the two cats!
From her notes on the journey:
"Java is a beautiful kitty, but she is one tough cat! She is
really resentful of Loki, she was lonely when you left (the house),
but she wanted you to be there more, not to have some competitor
there when you were home. Spit, piss and moan!
My spirit talked to her,
petted her and gave her a lot of loving, until Java opened her heart
a little
a sacred space was created around the two cats
and healing work was done.
..Then my
spirit helper asked me to go to the upper world and retrieve a bowl
of milk blessed by the
..compassion of the stars, Loki drank
most of it
(but when) it was offered to Java, she refused it.
So we mixed it with the (star) water I had gotten earlier, and sprinkled
it over Javas coat and rubbed it in. When Loki was finished he left
a little bit in the bottom of the dish. We offered that to Java
and she drank it. Then she transformed. He whole nature softened.
It was really lovely. (My spirits) recommend that you hang a crystal
in the window to remind the kitties of their experiences. And that
you make a strong effort to give each of them gobs of love. They
will come around."
S. responds with this
note:
"Thanks so much
for journeying on my cats' behalf. I feel a little better
about the whole situation. You are right about Java "spitting,
pissing, and
moaning" all the time lately; Loki does rush in and take whatever
he wants--especially when it comes to food. I will follow your advice,
open my heart up to my cats, and keep reminding them of my love."
