Socrates Case Study – Cancer no longer evident

09/27/2011

The doctor told me “Whatever you are doing, keep doing it because it’s working”.

History: Socrates – A mini schnauzer white, 12 lbs, 5 years old. Lost a lot of weight from Lymphoma. Diagnosed end of June. Liver, Spleen Gastro tract, chest, generates fluids. On prednisone. Did two sessions of chemo – but was so sick. Forget it! Raw food with salmon and steamed Veggies.  Lost weight, but he is happy!

Dear Carla:  I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to give you an update on Socrates. I took him to his oncologist on Thursday and he was speechless. Just by looking at him and doctor was all smiles and told me that he looked healthy and great. He told me that if I had brought him into his office for the first time and told him Socrates had lymphoma, he would’ve not believed me. But he knew what Socrates had because he had diagnosed him. He said he had no explanation, but that maybe those two chemo sessions were more than enough for him. I was thinking more in the lines of miracle, energy work, love and change of diet. :)   Then he took him to do an ultra sound and blood work to check how he was doing in the inside. There are no tumors. Everything is gone. He was filled with tumors on his abdomen and now it’s back to normal. He said he only had a lymph node in his chest that was a bit larger than usual, but he was not concerned. The doctor was all smiles and could not believe how healthy Socrates was. My eyes were teary as it was the best news I had received concerning his health. He said he wanted to continue keeping an eye on him, and to  bring him in the next two months, in case this comes back.

The doctor told me “Whatever you are doing, keep doing it because it’s working”.

I wanted to thank you for your healing energy. I remember the night of the session he was playing with his toy while you were working on me, but as soon as you said “Bring Socrates forward” he left the toy on the side and laid his head on the carpet, and there he stayed until you finished. I will continue to love and care for Socrates as usual so this doesn’t come back.

Thanks again!!!
Carola

Jasmin the Calico Cat – Case Study

09/27/2011

I am so grateful for what Jasmin and I both received this evening..it was most powerful and exceeded my expectations in ways I can’t express~

Jasmin has been having anxiety issues and stays a lot under our bed since 4-5 months now. Jasmin is a very smart girl. She observes everything and everyone. I noticed when our oldest cat of 16 yrs. (who is now deceased since Aug. 27th 2011) was licking an area on her back then she would run and hide. I started giving Reiki to her which did help and our older cat seemed more calmer. On the other hand Jasmin was watching her do this a lot and so she started doing it for whatever reason. The old saying “copycat” is so true as it applied here with Jasmin. I would speak gently and try Reiki on Jasmin as it helped somewhat, then she would run and hide again under the bed like she thought something was on her back. It really bothered me to see her go through this as I always speak with my animals or any animal. Jasmin I guess felt she was being taught to do something like our older cat use to do, or felt there really was something wrong, so she to adopted this habit.

In tonite’s healing clinic with Carla and all the compassonate spirits, so much beautiful energy came through. When Carla mentioned the beautiful purple flowers chills ran through me. Jasmin after a few mintues walked in and sat down on the floor near me. I had been ill for almost 2 weeks including pulling my back last week. I too needed some healing work, but so wanted Jasmin to be healed from all of this anxiety she had been putting her tiny body through. What I felt, though, was lots of healing energy coming through to me as well. I realized my Power Animal and my compassonate spirits knew this so I was being sent healing energy along with Jasmin. I want to much for Jasmin to relax and be the calm kitty she once was. I miss her jumping up on our bed sitting next to me or in our lap for a gentle pat. I am so grateful for what Jasmin and I both received this evening..it was most powerful and exceeded my expectations in ways I can’t express~

Thank you kindly Carla and all the loving compassionate beings who came through~

Star the Husky – Case Study

09/27/2011

Qualified Healer: Barbara Kaufmann   [email protected]

Client: Star the Husky

During this journey the dog’s human companion Sandy came with me. We met my teacher at the bottom of a stone staircase where we had to step into a pool of water but it was thick water, the consistency of Mercury that didn’t make us wet.. We had to pour this water over ourselves like a baptism in order to enter the complex .

We came to a room with a healing chamber in the shape of a tetrahedron and we were accompanied by Archangel Gabriel. The chamber had healing lights in rotating colors: white, amethyst, pink and yellow.  Star became transparent and we saw her heart with 4 chambers and 3 of them were empty. Her 3 companions, other canines had died previously within a very short time of each other. The deaths had left 3 of her 4 heart chambers empty. We were asked to help full her heart chambers with love. Her body became transparent and we could see her heart change and become bigger and fuller and shinier.

We were asked to step into the tetrahedron ourselves and we were wrapped in some kind of tape that caused a cocoon-like darkness. We waited in silence in the dark for a healing and blessing. Archangel Gabriel wrapped his wings around us and did a blessing.

We then took a walk along a path in the forest in the full moon. A beam of light from the moon was sent down to “polish” Star, the dog. W e walked along the pines and to the lake where we all had to bathe and briefly submerge. This water was real and warm and sweet.

We were in a sweat lodge for a time and this too, was part of the healing. It was not terribly hot but it had a substance that infused the air and we were told to breathe it in—that it was medicine.

We walked back the path to the end where there was an outcropping of rock. On the largest rock face was an ancient symbol that we were told to place our hands on. We did, and we were transported back here.

This journey was the first time a client came with me, so I take it to be some kind of graduation to another level of work. As I described what I was seeing, doing and feeling, Sandy was getting similar images in her head. She said Star in OR moved around a lot during the journey.  ~Barbara.

Jackie – Case Study from Healing Clinic

09/02/2011

Jackie was accidentally let out of the house by a cable guy that entered her home…it frightened her and she ran out and ran away. She was found 2 days later and taken to at shelter where Katie was able to retrieve her. Ever since then she has acted very scared of everything.

Animal: Jackie 2.5 year old toy poodle

Healing Clinic Date: August 29, 2011

Qualified Healer: Claudia Kroll

Contact:
 [email protected]
http://www.wix.com/gentlehearthealing/gentlehearthealingwithclaudia

Shamanic Healing:
Spirits did a power animal retrieval with 2 power animals; desert tortus and eagle.  Jackie continued to indicate her fears. Next spirits sent me on a soul retrieval with my power animal. Spirit reinfused all soul parts back into Jackie. Spirit requested I talk to Katie, the guardian and offered healing to her. She accepted verbally in OR and my power animal deer brought her to the healing circle. Spirit then sent me to the Crystal Cave for Emerald and Garnet. There I was also given a rose quartz for my pocket. I brought everything back and the emerald and garnet was infused into first Jackie then Katie. I was told to give Katie the rose quarts into her hand to keep, When I took it out of my pocket it was polished smooth and in the shape of a heart. I then witnessed my spirit teacher surround Jackie and Katie with sacred smoke to seal in the healing power.

Outcome/Feedback:
I would like to thank Claudia for the healing of Jackie on Monday’s Shamanic Animal Clinic. She did a healing on my dog Jackie. Jackie was 11 months old when she ran away. She was gone for 2 days. When she was returned she was a dog that was afraid of almost every thing. Claudia did a healing on Jackie which included giving her her power animals which she can call on when she is fearful. Also, she gave her two stones (emerald & garnet) which she can also use for protection. Jackie is a happier dog now. You can see it in her energy and how she interacts. Thank you to Claudia for the fantastic healing.

Beau – Case Study from Healing Clinic

09/02/2011

Animal: Beau -A Chinese Crested Powder Puff

Healing Clinic Date: August 29, 2011

Qualified Healer: Carla Meeske – Led the group healing ceremony

Contact:
[email protected]
http://spirithealer.com

Request/Concern: Beau is lovely Chinese Crested Powder Puff.  He is a neutered male and weighs about 14 pounds.  He is about 4 years old and was rescued from a horrible puppy mill – no socialization whatsoever when he came to rescue.  As a result, he had MANY behavioral issues – most have been resolved over the past few years; however, his fear of humans (outside of his immediate family) is the remaining issue.

Shamanic Healing: For the Group Ceremony, we all entered the dimension of Spirit and formed a circle with fire in the center. We called in many layers and levels of Compassionate Spirits until the Power was palpable. Going around the circle, each person stated a request for their animal, and we immediately asked the Spirits to gift that animal Power and Healing. I shared out loud what I personally witnessed. Beau was one of these animals, and I can’t recall exactly what the Spirits did for him! And I am sure that there was much more happening than I reported, as I was just one witness to a very large Spirit event.

Outcome/Feedback:  When I arrived home after the healing (I was at my office and he was home at the time), Beau was extra exuberant!  He even slept through the night – a first in a long time.  Since the healing, he has been more confident and radiant!!  You did great!  Thanks so much!! Thanks Carla.  Last night was great.  love it all!!  XOXOXO

End of life perspective

11/01/2009

I just talked with a cat who died last week. This cat said that the body is amazingly tenacious. She was commenting on the pain and suffering that we so often have to go through at the end. She said, “Well what do you expect? To have a body that will stay strong through all of the attacks and tempests life brings means that it will be strong in trying to stay alive at the end. It is the price we pay. Fortunately after you finally die it is easy to forget the pain and just relax again. EVERYONE has to go through it. It is part of the deal of being born. Oh well!”

She never expected euthanasia and couldn’t imagine blaming her person for not having a Doc at hand at 3:00 AM.

She was pretty philosophical. Her last hours were rough, according to her person. It was an interesting lesson!

Sallie Rallies On

09/19/2009

Sallie Rallies For Love

NC was worried about Sally, an older dog who was having difficulties. Sally barely got around, walked stiffly, and needed help getting into the car. Also, she has been experiencing some skin problems and food allergies. NC would like to find out how she is feeling. What can be done to make her happy and more comfortable? What does she think about dying, is she scared? NC asks: “Do I need to think of having her put down yet or does she still have a lot of life left?”

Carla’s journey for Sallie:

“I took her on a trip to the upper world where she saw the place she would go and met the dogs she will be with. She was THRILLED and hardly wanted to come back. But she really wants to be with you for more time, so she came home. When her time finally comes the lead dog spirit will come to her with a special crystal collar and ask her to come with him. She will tell you by not wanting to get up at all, nor eat. She will look at you with loving eyes, just to say she loves you. You will know the time is right. She may actually just pass in her sleep. She loves you very much. Sally is in a good place emotionally and will let you know when it is time for her to go – so you can have a lot of comfort in that. When you feel it is time – IT IS!”

NC is happy when Sallie rallies:

“I just wanted to let you know Sally is doing great. She has a lot more energy and gets excited about going for our morning walks again. She is eating good and her quality of life has really improved. I am sure it is a combination of no longer fearing death, her new diet, and perhaps just knowing how much we love her.

It is we who are honored by your help. We will always be grateful!”

Lucky Says Good-bye

09/19/2009

Lucky Says Good-bye

MB lost her wonderful old Doberman, Lucky. Lucky had been in a lot of pain and cried all night as he slept in MB’s arms.

Carla did a healing journey for Lucky just before he passed over. The connection between MB and Lucky is very deep.

After Lucky passed, MB wrote of her experience while Carla was actually journeying:

“I finally got to listen to the first tape. I didn’t get to hear it until two days after
Lucky died. It was amazing! Remember that Lucky had come and barked and
barked at me and that later you and I figured out that it was at the time
you were making the journey (unbeknownst to me). Well on the tape, just
after you start, there is a place where you say you can feel my touch
and the love -oh the love– Well, when he barked at me I didn’t know what
to do so I sat on the couch with him, with my arms around him and was
telling him how much I loved him. Thank you for being here for me. You have helped me more than you will ever know.”

Earth Spirits Heal Pellie

09/19/2009

Earth Spirits Heal Pellie

LF was concerned about her 5 year old English Mastiff, recently diagnosed
with a neurological disorder of his spine, making him wobbly on his back
end and causing his legs to fall out from under him.

Carla’s healing journey:

“We did a lot of healing work! The spirits put him in a muddy bog and the spirit of
the earth extracted the illness from him. A beautiful cloud spirit cried
on him, and her healing tears flowed through his body. The spirit of a
bushy willow plant merged with him and will be a power spirit for him.
The roots will cleanse the illness from him, and the leaves will gather
the healing power of the sun. It was INCREDIBLE to watch these loving
spirits fill him with their power.”

The spirits also gave Carla detailed directions for diet and herbs to
be given to Pellie.

LF responds: “Thank you, it is a wonderful reading. We will be doing all that you recommend……Wanted you to know that he was 100% himself on Sunday and we were so glad. He even played with his toys……I just listened to the tape and let
me tell you, it was a beautiful and deeply moving experience. I understand
what to do and how committed you are to my Pellie and all life.”

Dog becomes Power Animal

09/19/2009

Savage Reveals Herself As A Power Animal Spirit

DS had lost her beloved Wolf/Shepherd, Savage at age 15. She wanted to know if Savage will ever return to her (reincarnated as a new dog).

Carla journeyed to Savage:

“Savage is your power animal, and she came to you as a wolf/dog so that she could be incarnated next to you and keep you safe. She was concerned that you needed hands on protection, so she incarnated for you. She does plan to send you one of her children in the form of a puppy. It will be a Malamute and it will look something like a wolf pup. Very cute! She will tell you about it
in a dream or a journey.” How lucky you are to have had your power
animal incarnate for you. This is very rare.
DS writes back:
“Thank you so
much, Carla. The tape is very interesting. I’ve listened to it several
times now. I’ve certainly had many similar experiences to what you were
describing…… last year I had a past life reading done, and was
told there was something about a German shepherd … it wasn’t clear what,
but …..? Thanks again for the wonderful birthday present you didn’t
know you were giving me!!!!”

Duncan shares his body with Nuggy

09/09/2009

duncan When little Nuggy died his spirit moved into Duncan, creating all sorts of trouble!

Duncan was a sweet old Rottweiler who was gentle as a lamb. He never snarled, growled or even complained. But when his best friend Nuggy died, Duncan changed dramatically overnight! Nuggy was Duncan’s opposite. He was small, a little feisty and always opinionated. And he had the peculiar habit of  refusing to let people leave the house. They could come in, but the couldn’t go out with out somehow getting past Nuggy’s snarling and snapping.

Nuggy died suddenly on 9/11 at the same moment that the second plane went into the towers. His mom, Shirley, was beside herself! She had to know how this could have happened, and she wanted to know what was going on with Duncan! Right after Nuggy died, Duncan refused to let people leave the house. He growled and snapped just like Nuggy had. Had Nuggy moved into Duncan, or was Duncan just assuming the duties?

I connected with Nuggy and found that his body had been severely shocked by the national trauma, and that his soul had scattered as it left his body rather than moving onto heaven as dogs normally do. And yes, a large part of his soul had moved into Duncan! I gathered all his soul parts up, did big healing work, and took them all to heaven.

Duncan recovered immediately and returned to his old gentle self.  Shirley too received a huge healing from the spirits, and her anxiety and depression over Nuggy just melted away.

Madison: A cat with attitude!

09/09/2009

MadisonSaying that Madison is fractious would be an understatement.  Only my husband and I have been able to handle her.  When I suspected Maddie was diabetic I panicked.  For a vet to touch her she has to be put under.  This is very hard on her and it makes it impossible to get the correct blood counts.  I told my husband I was going to call Carla and ask for help and he just cringed saying that it would never work.  He reminded me of the other times we tried to have a vet examine her while she was lucid.  All eight of those vets and their techs ended up needing stitches.

But this time Carla came in and saved the day.  The morning of the vet appointment, Carla talked with Madison and infused her with calmness and strength.   When the vets arrived at our house I went to upstairs to get Madison but she wasn’t there. “Oh no! Hiding again” I thought, thinking the same old game was on. But I was wrong! I came back down and saw Madison approaching the vets.  Before I could say anything the tech reached down and picked her up and put her on her lap.  I was stunned. They did a full exam and took blood.  Madison did not move.  I was almost in tears, and my husband was so shocked he had to sit down. For six years I have not been able to have Madison looked at with out putting her out.  And every time she would be sick for days after the vet.  Now it is relaxing and simple.  With out Carla’s help Madison would have never and I mean NEVER gotten the treatment she needed.

This past Winter Madison was diagnosed with Jaundice.  Her skin was yellow and her liver was shutting down.  I took her to a Animal hospital that would shame most humane Hospitals.  The doctors there did three exploratory surgeries to see what had cause Maddie to fall into this state.  They found nothing.  They Put a feeding tube in her to try and reverse the shutting down of the liver.  When they sent her home with me they said the out look was not good and that if she did improve her body would never fully recover.  Once again Carla to the rescue.  Carla did several sessions for Madison on a matter of days, as well as a session for me ( which gave me the heart and the mind to be there for Madison).  Two weeks later Madison made a FULL recovery.  The doctors were dumbfounded.  They did several tests that all came back perfect.  They could not believe that Madison made a full recovery and recovered in only two weeks.  Even a minor case of liver disruption takes well over a month to completely heal.  The internal specialist at the Animal hospital said it was a miracle.  But as I sit here writing this with Madison laying on my desk, I just smile and think not a miracle, It was Carla.

Cynric

09/09/2009

Amiee’s baby Fiord, Cynric, was born with a crooked leg. The right leg bent outward at the knee. She asked her vets for options and as told she had three choices: do conventional surgery, a new experiemental surgery or just wait it out and hope for the best. If she chose to do surgery it would need to be done right away if it were to be successful. Amiee was pretty sure she wanted to the the surgery because she didn’t want an unsound, unridable horse. But she didn’t know which one to do.

She wanted the spirits to help her make the best choice. I used the ABC method, where I present the options to the spirits simply as letters, and I ask them to tell me a story about the outcome of each. It is a little like asking the spirits looking behind doors number 1, 2 and 3 and see what is behind each. They gave wonderful metaphors, with the outcome being that surgery was definitely the right thing to do, and the conventional was the way to go. But they also said “lets just see if we can fix it!” and they did a great deal of healing work. When they were finished, the reiterated that she should still have surgery.

One week after the session Aimee sent me a new picture. It was astounding! The leg was very nearly straight. After another week Amiee had the vet out. The vet was very pleased and though that Cynric would need the surgery afterall because the slight degree of crookedness wouldn’t make him unsound. But Aimiee decided to go ahead with it anyway.

It turned out that the surgery was critical! The tendon was in danger of being severely damaged. So even though the spirits made the leg straight, the vet was necessary to make the fix permanent. Team work is the best!

Later I did a session for a another client, Vonnie’s, little mustang who also was born with a crooked leg. Same issue. I did the same healing, except that in this case the option for surgery wasn’t on the table. The spirits needed to make it right! Here is Vonnie’s email a few days after I did the session:

Hi Carla,
You wrote and said that I may also consult a vet, well, photos speak louder than words.  I don’t believe a vet is needed.

I have done some research into these kinds of things.  In the mustangs, they will, over time as in 2-3 years, straighten out a little but in Mac’s case, it was too far out of alignment for the leg to straighten without intervention.  His leg would not have straightened on its own in such a short period of time.

Thank you ever so much.  This has finally made a believer out of my husband as well so that was just an added bonus.  Take care,
Vonni

Kolur Lives! Again!

10/17/2008
Kolur

Kolur

Those of you who have met Kolur know that he is sweetness on hooves. He’s a lover and a therapy horse, but he hasn’t had it easy.

This spring he had his cancerous penis amputated (sorry fellows). That healed up fine and we were excited about the winter riding season, when he got kicked in the leg. The wound infected and it spread into his elbow joint, a terribly painful and potentially crippling, even fatal problem. Fortunately we have Spirit Allies who love us, and wonderful healing help from our team of vets and care givers.

First week of September I went to visit friends in Oregon. I was hesitant to go, and I was counting the days to come home. While I was gone new horses came to the barn, and the turnout area had the usual shuffling for position. Kolur got nailed! When I got home I saw the surface wound, a small cut which I cleaned up and medicated. Three days later it swelled like a balloon, so off to the hospital we went. The vets on duty treated it as a puncture wound, but cautioned it was near the bone. Unfortunately the antibiotics didn’t work, and five days later Kolur’s elbow joint infected. In a horse, especially an older horse, this is life threatening.  Dr. Lucas said she would understand if I decided to end the pain for him, but she wanted to try aggressive treatment. If he survived he could be crippled, but we would cross that bridge when we got to it. She did surgery to clean the joint and sent him home under the care of my dear friend and small animal vet, Bill Petersen. We administered IV antibiotics plus intramuscular penicillin with big fat needles. From a vet point of view we were doing what we could. From a shamanic point of view we needed a miracle!

That weekend Eva, Sue and I performed the Spiral Labyrinth for him. We assembled at Sue’s and rolled out the Spiral. I called in the Spirits in the special way that I was taught, and we empowered the spiral with sacred stones connected to other important power spots on the planet. The energy was palpable. Spirit was so strong that Sue was frozen into place, unable to move! It was Eva’s first Spiral, and she was uncertain when she should enter. I wasn’t giving much instruction, as I was busy walking the Spiral and asking the spirits to bring Kolur a miracle. So Eva journeyed to her Spiral teacher, and asked for guidance. When it was time for her to walk, Spirit shoved her forward with a possession-strong force. She said the experience was completely amazing! She and I walked the Spiral repeatedly for Kolur and for three other animals, all of whom were in deep need. One was Gurta, Sue’s dog, who had been suffering paralysis seizures. She hasn’t had another since. Sue did her healing work where she stood – oddly enough paralysed by the power. Spirit works in odd ways. It is all reflection, mirrors upon mirrors.

I went to the barn immediately after the circle and medicated Kolur. He was uncomfortable and his leg was still warm and puffy. Then around 3:00 in the morning I awoke and knew that his fever had broken, that he had overcome the infection. The next morning he was bright and the swelling was gone! That was two weeks ago now, and the leg just gets better and better. He did get one bout of stomach disturbance that scared the heck out of me, but other than that his healing has been on a straight line to normal! He has been off pain meds for a week and is showing no signs of lameness, and that infection seems like it was years ago. Blessings!

Next week he will begin a slow gentle rehab, as the infections are known to destroy cartilage. I trust the Spirits to have protected his joint, but I won’t be cavalier. We will do just as the Doctor orders and take it nice and slow.

Case Study: Helping My Beloved Bud Cross Over (As Told by Student Debbie Decker)

07/24/2008

Bud

Deb Decker shared this incredible story of love and healing for her kitty as he transitioned. It is so true that our connection to them helps them as they move from this plane to the other. And the blessing of being able to stay connected to them in a healthy way really is the best of the best. Thank you Deb for sharing this wonderful story!  Carla

“When Bud–my beloved international-winning Havana Brown show cat that I helped bring into this world–was diagnosed with liver failure, I worked very hard with Carla and my holistic vet to first try and heal him. But the damage to his liver was too great from the tainted food he ate (it was kitten food on the Menu Food recall) despite his young age.

We all knew that he would soon leave us and I had one choice: to help make Bud’s transition as peaceful as possible for him, and with as little guilt on my part for not being able to save his life.

Bud was what I called an “ugly ducking”. I was there with Bud when he was born on September 3, 2006. From day one I started to talk with the babies (six little brown kittens!) and found that each had it’s own “voice”. Bud was the shy one who ended up displaying his “Siamese roots” by eating holes in my wool yoga blanket, toys and other non-cat-food items. While the others went off to either a show home or pet home, I had Bud–who was a roly poly “ugly duckling”. He was short-legged and had a round little belly. Now looking back we know it was the food that bloated out his liver. When the food recall was announced to my horror I had the packets of food with the tainted lot number. This was the type of kitten food I raised his mother on so my litter was raised on it too. He was a picky little cuss – except for his taste in wool, string and hair – so the only thing he would eat was the pouch food. In other words, his poor liver was getting nothing but poisons when I thought he was getting a nourishing diet.

After he got off the food, he slimmed down into a “gorgeous swan” and soon became the youngest of his breed to claim the # 1 alter worldwide! And then while at the large international show, he got sick. And it was down hill from there.

It was through journeying that I learned from Carla at workshops that I was able to help Bud–and myself!–to get through all of this. I always journeyed with Bud before a show, and sometimes during a show if I felt he had a “question” or needed some help with a situation (i.e. a cat at the show, a judge, maybe that new fangled toy he saw!). He was really a funny little boy. A true showman….and a diva! He won the hearts of many judges, breeders and exhibitors. Oh, and spectators too. We’d be at a show and he’d say in his cute little voice “what is up with that cat crying?” So journeying with him as a kitten had allowed us to have an open communication during his (short) life. And that also allowed us to move through his illness, and eventual transition.

When we realized he would not make it, I journeyed to help him with this. He was young, and he loved his mama Gwendolyn so much. He didn’t want to leave me either. But he sure didn’t want to leave his mom. Gwendolyn, Prissy (an old dog that had passed away years ago) and Spatz (my first cat that Carla met!) were there to help out. Bud was not ready, and it took a while for him to realize that his life on earth was really meant to be short, and he had bigger things to do once he crossed over.

Three days before he was to pass away, I heard him clickity clack into the office (I didn’t trim his nails at the end…why?) and then his sweet voice say “I know it’s almost time…” then he jumped into the window and watched the Blue Jays and Cardinals eating suet and seed. He turned his big eyes at me and said “I love you, and I’m ready.”

The morning of December 6, 2007 I woke up. He was in his bed, but I could tell he was not doing well. So I put him on the bed…Gwen crawled up next to him and started to bathe him…and I put my hand on his side and started to journey. We called circle and not only did my power animals come in, but his angels, guardian spirits and power animals came in too. And then my cats and dogs who had passed over, including his three sisters who had died at the ages of 3-7 days. His sisters were crystal keepers and they brought a gorgeous crystal for Bud. Prissy — my old Schipperke who was so fat she had to have a Mallard duck to fly around on in the heavens–brought the mate to her duck for Bud to ride when he was ready to cross over. Spatz was there to help along with my grandmother. And Butch, my old Angora who was a head in the crystal palace, showed Bud that he was to do healing work on animals, and help lost animals get home. He had a wonderful mission ahead of him. And as Butch said with his Cheshire smile “You’ll be the best cat in the biggest cat show ever!”

With that I heard a long sigh….and I opened my eyes to see Bud gone. I wrapped him up, held him, blessed him, and told him to soar on the back of his new winged friend and I would see him. (Spatz also informed me Bud would go through a 14-day transition period so he could adjust to his new role and spiritual body.)

Although I still miss the little diva….by journeying from the first sign of illness through his transition, I know that Bud has a bigger role to play. He has shown me his healing work and it’s funny to hear Prissy (who still works with him) jump his butt because he’s just doing a young brash “kid thing”. I know I now can call on Bud to help out at the shows (he still comes and hangs out and calms his mom down if she’s in the ring) and he has even helped me and the other cats and dogs.

Knowing he is happy, and is playing a role in helping others, has given me a sense of peace. I didn’t carry–nor do I carry–the guilt that I fed him food (that I thought was good for him! who knew it was poison for my baby?) I still cry at times, don’t get me wrong! But the minute I do I think “why?” and then I’ll hear him say “because you like to stroke my chin”.

So you know what I do? I close my eyes, and meet him in our favorite place next to a gorgeous, babbling stream….and I stroke his chin.”

Was it a miracle?

06/30/2008

I wanted to share an experience and thank the spirits heartily for their help! A sweet middle aged kitty named Baci went to the vet for stomach pain, and the vet did x-Rays. She found a large alarming tumor on the kitty’s lung. My friend Luce, who baby sits the kitty, asked me to have a look and do healing. Luce also asked for prayer circles and other healing groups to help. It takes a team! My teacher Amber said that she felt it was not serious, and she did extraction and healing. She said to expect them to find it is a cyst, and that draining it would be all it needs. (I am always very careful to not give medical diagnosis, so I of course gave a my disclaimers as I told Luce what I was receiving.) Blessings abound – here is what Luce reported a few days later:

Hello Carla,
Mother and son are doing great…..
Resa (the kitty’s “mom”) was besides herself with joy, gratitude and relief. Thank you, thank you, thank you a million times.
The Vet was flabbergasted. She had run a series of x-rays last week, all showing the same thing. Yesterday, …. not a trace.
You may remember that I had debated about telling Resa about the specifics of the Shamanic session.
Yesterday morning, before she went to the Vet, I called her telling her of your work on Baci’s and her behalf and told her that, at worst, it was a cyst that would be drained with no further consequence. She told me that for the past few days, unbeknownst to me, she had told herself that it was only a cyst and everything would be fine.
I received the CD in the mail and I will pass it on to Resa, I told her she would be blown away (in a good way) by the comments about their very unique heart connection.
Now, I know why you said “how appropriate” when you pulled the amulet for Baci. I am sure Resa will treasure it.
Again, all my deep and heartfelt thank yous to you, Amber, and all the other Power Beings that contributed their presence and work but remained in the periphery so as to not alarm Baci.
